To be able to buy artworks at the Frogner Art website you must be registered as a customer. This is completely free, and you can sign up here
The Process of Registration
The registration form is simple and straightforward. You will be prompted to enter your name, address, telephone, email address etc. Your username will be your email address. NB! Remember to choose a password that is easy to remember for you. Make sure the form is filled in correctly. Once you have completed the form, press "Register". The approval process for activation may take up to 3 hours. You will receive an email alert as soon as your account is activated. You are now registered as a customer, and any orders you place with Frogner Art will be sent to the address provided unless otherwise is stated. Payment and delivery method is chosen by you when you make a purchase. Once registered as a customer, you will not have to fill in any other forms.
Username and password
All information is registered under your user account and will not be available to others. The next time you shop at Frogner Art, log in with your username and password. This will allow us to identify you and where to send your purchased products. In case you forgot your password, use this link .
When accessing the Frogner Art web site, you must enter the username and password you chose when you registered your account. Log in to access your personal space.
Your user page
Your personal user page is automatically created for you when you sign up as a member. Your user page provides access to your profile information, your orders and order status and your shopping list. You can also change your password here.
To purchase a work of art from our online gallery, navigate to the online gallery in the left menu on the front page. You may want to log in before you add items to your cart, if not, you will be prompted to log in before you choose delivery and payment method
Finding art / Add to Basket
Click on the picture portraying the item you are interested in. You be directed to a separate product page where the item is presented with a larger image and detailed information. Click on the button “View in a room” to see a rendering of what the artwork may look like in a virtual room. If you decide to purchase the artwork, click on "Add to cart". If you have not already logged in you will be prompted to do so now (log in and go back to the shopping cart). You will then be directed to a confirmation page that states that the item is added to your cart. You may choose to continue shopping or go to the cart to proceed to check out. That an item is added to your cart does not mean that you have committed yourself to a purchase.
Once you have added all the items you want to your cart, click on "My shopping cart" on the top of the page. You can now review and edit the contents of your shopping cart to your liking. When you are happy with the contents, click on the orange button labeled "Proceed to checkout" where you choose delivery address and method of payment.
Here you can change the delivery address as desired. You will be directed to the choice of payment method when you have confirmed the information on this page.
You will now see an overview of your order including shipping and art fees (if the price of any single painting is equal to or greater than 2.000 NOK, -). Select your preferred payment method and press "Pay".
Once you have placed your order you will be directed to a confirmation page with information about your order, this information will also be sent to you by email. You can now lean back and wait for your delivery to arrive.
Frogner Art accepts payments by credit / debit cards. Electronic payments can be carried out by two different transaction standards: secure payment with SSL (Secure Socket Layer).
Frogner Art accepts the following Norwegian credit/debit cards: Visa, Mastercard and any other debit card with the VISA logo. When you pay by card, the amount you are to pay will be reserved on your account until the item you have ordered is shipped from us. This arrangement creates security, the customer is assured that Frogner Art does not charge payment for the item before it is sent from us. If any problems occur regarding the delivery of your artwork, the reservation of the amount on your account will cease, and you will gain access to the full amount again. Our payment scheme is approved by the Inspectorate.
The customer pays for shipping plus the price of the artwork. Shipping costs are determined by current rates provided by the shipping company and the delivery method chosen by the customer. You will receive a notice to collect your package directly from your local post office or from the shipping company you chose. Delivery times will differ for each product.
Our artists are spread out all over the world, and delivery times may vary. For orders from local artists, orders will normally be delivered within 7 days, and up to 21 days for deliveries from or to other continents.
Large shipments (several framed pictures w / plexiglass), such as originals, framed pictures with glass and artworks that can be rolled must be sent as a special delivery. Deliveries will be made to the address of your choice. This will entail a charge of from 1500 NOK upwards, and the service is available all over the country. If you wish to cancel a purchase made on www.frognerart.no, the consumer law applies. We want this process to be as simple as possible for both parties. By regretted purchases are selling and buying any obligation that must be followed within Withdraw Act. We send out information to all our customers in the form of a link in the order confirmation you receive by email as well as a return form that follows every shipment for every purchase made with us.
It's right of withdrawal which regulates the buyer and seller's rights and obligations if you regret your purchase.
Some key points of consumer law:
Right of withdrawal requires that the customer bears the cost themselves (cf. Withdraw Act § 8, paragraph i). If goods can not be returned with normal mail, we recommend Posten.no for more info and implementation of the return of larger packages. If the consumer has expressly opted for a different type of delivery than this is a cost borne by customer (ref. Withdraw Act § 24).
Right of withdrawal requires that notice is given seller within 14 days after receipt of the delivery. (Cfr. Withdraw Act § 21). The consumer shall without undue delay and not later than 14 days from notice of withdrawal has been given, send the goods back. (Cfr. Ang right of withdrawal § 25)
Right of withdrawal gives businesses the right to charge the customer if the product is applied with a reduction in value as a result of use beyond what is necessary to determine the stock items, property and / or function. (Cfr. Ang right of withdrawal § 25).
The Act only applies to consumer purchases. The right of withdrawal can not be used by companies or others who have acted as part of business. (Cf. The Act § 1).
The Act does not apply to sale items when the total contract price, including freight and additional costs for the end customer is NOK 300 or less. (Cf. The Act § 2).
You as a consumer, in other words the right to cancel the agreement without giving any reason within 14 days after service has fulfilled its disclosure acc. consumer law and the item and return form is received, or after one year if information concerning the right of withdrawal is not provided. Yet you will not regret your purchase framing when each frame is manufactured specifically for the consumer. There is no right of withdrawal on goods produced by the consumer's specifications, ie goods that are not prefabricated and manufactured on the basis of the consumer's individual choices or decisions. Then you regretted artwork but not the frame (cf.. Valid law L-52)
Completion of return (Active administrative activities)
It undertakes an active action * from you in such a way that there is no doubt that you make use of your right of withdrawal. With an active action, we can treat the matter in a prompt and efficient manner for both parties, acc. Right of withdrawal (* ref. 14 day deadline referred to in consumer law § 11).
How regret your purchase if your order is shipped?
If you have not received shipment confirmation and status for the product lines under the orders of "my side" is anything but "sent" please call us at or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request that the entire order is deleted. If one of these agencies confirms that the order is deleted, you have repented. For your part, you may want to keep a copy of the email and information about who you've talked to in connection with that you regretted at least 14 days.
How I regret before the order is picked up at the distribution point?
Please contact customer service by email email@example.com or telephone +47 45 39 26 62 and let them know that you want to use the right of withdrawal. You will receive an email confirming that the order is within the criteria for withdrawal. You do not need to take any action against the distribution point. When the order comes back to us will be credited in full. You want a few days later receive an invoice for postage one way (cf. Withdraw Act § 15 first paragraph)
How I regret after the order has been obtained?
Please contact customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org or +47 45 39 26 62 and advise that you wish to cancel the purchase and we will confirm / deny whether the order is within the criteria for withdrawal. When confirmation is given, fill in the return form included with the shipment, if necessary. You can download the returns form here , adding this along with the item (s) you wish to return, and return as soon as possible via a post office. We do note that it is the consumer who must bear the cost of return. (Cfr. Withdraw Act § 15 first paragraph). Urged to Withdraw goods sent by registered parcel post so you can follow the package at the post their pages so you have full control over where the consignment is located in the postal system until it arrives at us. Once we have received and processed your return we will credit and remit your balance depending on the payment method used.

Should you not collect the order and deal otherwise totally passive, this will not give us any indication of why the package is not extracted. You will not have fulfilled the requirements for you according to Withdraw Act § 11 and § 13, and lose thus the right to cancel the agreement. When the order comes back as unclaimed will be credited in full and merchandise added back in stock. We issue then own invoice with postage two roads, plus unclaimed fee amounting to NOK 500, to cover our handling costs. If the order is prepaid we will offset this invoice against credit notes and in this way reduce chargeback.
If the received item is incorrect or missing, the buyer can claim a number of claims (eg. To withhold payment, straightening replacement, price reduction, cancellation and compensation) for Sale of Goods Act, cf. KJL. §§30 ff. However, this presupposes that the buyer responds within certain deadlines. In consumer sales the warranty period as starting two years after the purchase receipt. It must be notified to the seller within a reasonable time after the buyer discovered or should have discovered the defect. There are no formal requirements on the complaint, but the evidentiary reasons should the message be given in writing. It should be stated in the message (the complaint) which claims buyer wants to invoke. Complaints should service bear all costs associated with the purchase, including the costs of return transportation.

Completion of return / completing the return form
Please enter the order number, your customer number and invoice number.
Please enter your account number if you have the money refunded by us.
Please enter the item number, number, last name and return code in the form below "I will return".
If the reason for return is hurting you must fill in item number, item name, return code and price in the field of accident reports on the return receipt (Remember that thou must enclose accident report completed by mail or courier). Return the product to the artist in its original packaging together with the return slip. See return information on the form. You are responsible for return shipment and must pay postage. If there is a claim we will refund postage outlay you have had about the claim will be approved. NB! never send goods in return by registered mail or cash on delivery.
Once you have done this you should send us an email so we know your return is on the way. You open when mail with "order confirmation" you received from us and click "reply" / "reply" and write item number, item name of the item you have returned

Secure online payment with Secure Socket Layer (SSL):

Entering the order
Only persons aged 18 who shop at Frogner Art. Inlaid purchase order is binding. False order input or bidding will be prosecuted. Fraud, forgery and other criminal activities will be prosecuted.
Your order is binding when the order is recorded on our server (computer). We are also bound by your order if it does not differ from what is offered by us in our webshop, marketing or otherwise. You still have the right to withdraw from the purchase in accordance with the law on withdrawal.
Once we receive your order, we will confirm the order and automatically send a confirmation to you. Carefully read the order confirmation when you receive it and examine the order confirmation is in compliance with the order.

Shipping and handling

Frogner Art store booked line with "fetch yourself" as delivery method for 3 months from the date on which they are put in stock. After this, the orders opened and the photos go back to Frogner Art. Graphics are destroyed when they remain rolled over longer and Frogner Art are not allowed to store the images more than three months. It is the customer's responsibility to retrieve the pictures before the deadline.
Withdraw and complaints
It granted 14-day full return after cooling off law on purchases at Frogner Art, where the purchase price is more than NOK 300, - including shipping and additional fees. The assumption is that the product be returned in the same condition and quantity. Take preferably original container, then the buyer has the risk of damage during transport caused by inadequate packaging. Buyer pays return shipping. When the item is made specifically for the consumer, it is normal 14 day return policy, but so that the withdrawal period no later goes out 3 months after receipt of the goods. It may be agreed that production starts before the end of the withdrawal period. This must be agreed prior to purchase and after all other essential information is provided by the seller, including information about the right of withdrawal. If you use the right of withdrawal in such cases, the buyer shall cover the costs of the actual work performed and materials used. This means that if you regret your purchase on an order in which you selected It is given only full right to cancel the purchase of the artwork and not the frame that is made specifically for the current order.
Complaints due to deficiencies in the product: it provided full warranty for consumer laws for all products. The main rule is the 2 year warranty on all products. In any event, the buyer is obliged to complaints within a reasonable time after discovery of the defect.

All offers apply as long as the product range is available for Frogner Art. We reserve the right to change its product range, availability and price, if we have received incorrect information from our subcontractors. Furthermore, Frogner Art subject to no incoming goods.
Visual artists' Assistance Fund (BKH-fee)
According to art Tax Act will 5 percent of art sales go to Visual artists' Assistance Fund.
Frogner Art reserves the right to shutdown or incorrect prices, caused by circumstances beyond our control, including technical issues, including, but not limited to, power failure, overload and sabotage.
In addition, reserves Frogner Art the right to cancel orders without notice and without further explanation. VAT on art
It is VAT on art (which is not traded in the author's own name). This is automatically calculated and included in the invoice amount when you shop at Frogner Art. The tax is calculated by advancing method cf. VAT Act § 4-5. This tax amount is not deductible as input tax cf. Regulations on accounting § 8-10-4 and specified when neither the invoice.
For all other VAT-taxable supplies, including but not limited to framing, shipping, handicrafts, jewelry, specified VAT amount of the invoice in a separate field.
Exemption from VAT by the artist (author's) own revenue of art
More artworks in our database is marked with an "M", this means that these artworks traded in favoring its own name and at Frogner Art as mediator.
This type of trading is exempt VAT under the VAT Act (meq.) § 3-7 (4): - The author's sales of own artwork and copyright to their own literary and artistic works are exempt from the law. The same applies to sales by the mediator in the author's name.
For you as a customer this means that you are acting on the originator. Any complaint on the artwork itself is the author's responsibility. Yet Frogner Art agreed with the originator and assist her in relation to the buyer, so you only need to deal with us.

We welcome painting in commission / commission. The artists can update their selection in your gallery.
